IEO Work and Travel Review 2026

★★★☆☆ 3/5

Agency Overview

Global Horizons promotes itself primarily on price. Operating a lean team out of Bangkok, they focus on processing bulk applications for standard seasonal jobs in the food and beverage and retail sectors.

While they have placed hundreds of students successfully over the past few years, our investigations reveal that their service model relies heavily on the student being highly independent and proactive.

Fees & Pricing

Their primary selling point is their low initial joining fee. However, students should be cautious: the lower base cost is often offset by the lack of included services (like comprehensive visa interview prep or guaranteed job placement by a certain date) and unstated admin fees that arise during the DS-2019 phase.

Job Placements

Expect standard entry-level hospitality and retail roles. Unlike top-tier agencies that bring U.S. sponsors directly to Thailand for hiring fairs, Global Horizons utilizes virtual job fairs heavily mediated by the U.S. sponsor. We found that students often face wait times for job confirmations.

Support Quality

This is where the budget model struggles.

  • Pre-Departure: Minimal. Much of the documentation instructions are self-service via email.
  • In-Program: WhatsApp responses take 24-48 hours on average, which is unacceptable during a housing or employment emergency.

Final Verdict

If you are a returning student on a strict budget who already understands how to navigate the U.S. visa system and cultural nuances, Global Horizons can save you a few thousand baht. However, we strongly advise against using this agency for first-timers. The lack of structured support and weak emergency responsiveness makes it a risky choice for someone traveling to the U.S. for the first time.
